I have been using Arm & Hammer for years and I don't know what they have done with their new "ammonia blocking formula" but it stinks! literally.

If you like what you use I would love to hear what brand it is.

Thank you!!

How many cats do you have? I use Arm & Hammer, and there's no odor at all. But I only have one cat, and that may make a difference. I just bought two more boxes, because I had two $3.00 off coupons, and have another $2.00 that expires in April.

I use World's Best Cat Litter, the multi-cat formula. It works very well. It's not cheap but it lasts a long time. Used to use the blue crystal litter made by Fresh Step but now that we have a dog who snorfles around in the litter occasionally, I was afraid that the blue crystals might harm him, so I switched.

I use Feline Pine with 2 big Maine Coons and I've been very happy with it.

Due to one of my cats who refuses to use anything but clay, I found a product that I absolutely love as do my cats. I use Cats Pride Natural Premium Scoopable Cat Litter. It is hypoallergenic and free of perfumes and dyes. Believe it or not, this litter has staying power, and in combination with my stainless steel kitty pans, I do not have an odor problem. FYI........I have a total of 15 indoor special needs cats, 10 of whom are males. There you go....that is my recommendation!

PS...Of course I clean out the litters twice daily on account of so many cats, so that cuts down on the odor. This litter is also reasonable price wise! Oh yes, one more thing.....I do use bathroom fans and air purifiers to help keep my house clean and free of clay dust.

Both Feline Pine and World's Best get the thumbs up here. (And one of ours is particularly stinky... )

A word of caution, cats have been known to reject a new brand of litter after a sudden switch. This can cause big litter box problems. This behavior is not common, most cats will handle the change okay, but it is not rare either.
