I transferred that pic over off my phone, of moo and her valentine's present - I put it in the cat pics thread so as not to hijack stuff if you wanna see it. hehe.

They're calling for more snow tomorrow!
I think they're crazy.

More snow? AAHHHH! We may get some Friday. I'll hop over to the pics and take a look. It's going to be around 50 here. Crazy.

We have a lot of snow too *sigh*. Oh how I long for spring! And less stockings, gloves and scarfs!

Well yesterday I introduced my Maine Coon Kitty to my new Feral cat that I've been rehabilitating. Surprisingly the feral Bubba was nice and my Maine Coon was upset I was petting him. The Maine Coon gave him a dirty look and a good thump in the head..lol Little does she know feral kitty would tear her a new one.

Oh what fun ... a thread to chat about nothing in particular, cat-wise.

Our kitties are banished from the bedroom! The spouse has finally had enough with Checkers nuzzling his nose at 4 a.m. (it's time to play!), or with Cookie insisting that she sleep between us instead at our feet.

Usually Cookie just hops up on the bed and sits between us until we move around so that she has room to curl up -- she's a very patient cat! -- but the other night she started to howl when we didn't wake up fast enough to accommodate her. Poor baby!

My pregnant stray has been missing since yesterday. I hope a big dog didn't get her.

I looked out the back window and the feral is looking at me like, "Where's my food?"

I may make a seperate thread about it later today..

But for the past week and a half, Cinders has been laying by the waterbowl.
URI popped into my mind.

She's not in pain, she's drinking and eating and using the litterbox just as frequently as she always has. I even tried relocating the water bowl - but she curls up next to it to sleep regardless! Sometimes she doesn't sleep, sometimes she's just curled up next to it, laying in wait for moo to come over and be thirsty, to bop her on the head with a kitty paw - and then they're off! tackle tackle pounce pounce. She'll sleep anywhere I put her, when it's time for bed. Usually she and moo are on the bed with me at night anyways. -but left to her own devices, I can't help but be a little dishearted that I'll walk into the room and she'll be curled up by the waterbowl again!

Any thoughts? Does anyone else's cat do this?

Maybe she can hear the ocean.

Seriously, though, if you're not seeing any changes in Cinders' drinking, eating, etc., then maybe she's just developed a weird quirk. Keep an eye on her.

Whenever my cats hear the furnace kick on, they rush over to one of the registers and sniff. Maybe there's a dead mouse roasting in the firebox that we can't smell? Cats are so weird!
