I left 5 Italian sausages on the counter, I came back and one had bites out of it, and was on the floor...I WONDER how THAT happened?!

Jasper is just quietly purring...hmmm

My cat likes to sit on the keyboard. I left for a few minutes and came back. The computer was locked up, there were various program windows open, and there were 114 Firefox windows open.

I don't know why she does this.

Her sister likes to sit on the desk and watch the mouse go around and round on the screen.

Serious shedding season at our house! For the first time since we've had them, our cats are yakking up furballs on a daily basis. I brush and brush every night -- sometimes pulling more than four or five brushloads from each cat -- and still the fur is everywhere! Helllllllp!

I have one long hair, 20yrs old and lots of bad days with kidney disease and, of course, I'm very very careful with her. I brush her as much as she allows each day but she still gets hairballs and recently the tummy hair is getting knotted. I snip those away as best I can but she will try to bite me with that effort. However, I have some hair clippers standing by for the day I try and get creative with a burrito wrap and give her a shave, especially on her tummy.

Only one of my cats is bad about shedding. She is a short haired cat. She lives outside, though.

Thought I would ask if your cats do this.....My cat Gravey meows and meows until I walk with him to his cat dish, touch his food and then he will eat. His cat food is in a feeder so he doesn't need me to touch it but he only likes to eat it after I show him where it is...makes no sense. I had another cat previously that did the same thing. Cats are strange and funny.

Cats can have extreme habits sometimes bordering on rituals so it's not especially surprising. Somewhere in the touching the food habit is a mealtime ritual that got started somehow, and now he's stuck on that.

One of my cat's near-rituals (she doesn't do it every day, but a lot of days, like this morning) is to head for the bedroom and flop down in the doorway after I've taken a shower. The funniest bit is that it makes no difference what time of day that is. Weekdays it's in the morning but on the weekend I might take a shower in the afternoon and many times she'll still do it.

Beau is like that ...and he watches me intently taking a shower...then licks my leg when I get out. I am not sure why?
