If the $22K cat is a serious offer, I would suspect that only the type of person who has a Ferrari in the garage would be in the market for them. Maybe a few die-hard "cat collector" types (who have to have the best) would be in the market too, but I think the vast majority of cat owners own cats because they Like cats.

Remember, the whole idea of "Pedigree Breeds" was created in Victorian society so that rich people could "prove" that their dog/cat was better than that of the lowly factory worker.

There are three things that make me think this could be a scam...

1) a large sum of money is required

2) You have to wait about 9 months after "payment" to get your product

3) there were no pictures of two cats, facilities, etc. This could be a member of an existing wild cat breed.

LOL! I have two cats (actually three, soon four, but that's another story), an aunt and her nephew. I think you can apply that picture to them as well!
Ok, they are not the same age, but when the aunt was 5 months, she was about that size as the smaller cat in your picture. She still is...The nephew on the other hand, was about the size of the bigger cat in the picture when he was 5 months, and now he's even bigger!
Aunt: 5 1/2 years old.
Nephew: 2 years old.
Difference in size: 9 lbs...

On topic: I would never buy a cat for that amount of money, just because it's an exotic breed. I don't want any cats because of the breed, I want them because of their personality - and you can never buy personality!
I would only pay that money if I knew I could get my Sabina back whom I lost in a car accident two years ago...
