We dropped Loki off at the vet this morning for bloodwork/vacs/neuter. I was pretty nervous because he was an outdoor cat when he was a kitten (his old owner had 4-5 unfixed/unvac-ed outdoor cats/kittens). I was so afraid he would come back positive on something BUT I just got a call from the vet and Loki came back negative for worms, heartworms, feline leuk, and FIV His regular blood panel (liver/kidneys) also looked great, and the vet said his heart & lungs sounded perfect. He was all done with the neuter and woke up fine. We get to pick him up at 4:30. He did not get all vacs done today, so he will be going back in 3-4 weeks to finish them off.

Yay!

Oh what wonderful news! How fortunate you are as a cat owner to have a healthy kitty. Before you get Loki vaccinated with A-Z vaccines, please educate yourself with what is absolutely necessary. Our animals have been so over-vaccinated and, in my opinion, it is time for us pet owners to educate ourselves about the consequences of every vaccine, and which vaccines are ONLY necessary for our animals. Congrats!!!!

I'm so relieved for you! The intermission between getting the tests done and getting the results is always SO stressful [for me at least]! YAY YAY YAY!
