I came here 4/25/18.
My cat is my GF's cat from before she met me. She had been on a dry food diet. I switched her over to wet food as soon as things got serious in the relationship and I fell in love with the cat!
She took to the canned food pretty quickly. Her fur improved immediately; she became more agile and playful. It was a transformation.
Now she's been puking. I took her off the canned and started feeding her human canned meats and pieces of chicken and fish I am going to cook for me. She pukes less. Is there anyway to stop this puking?
I tried to feed her the raw food. I bought the supplement. It was too hard. They say to give her raw meaty bones. I am afraid she will choke. but she is a cat ... right?
Well, I will now try the slippery elm, the pumpkin, and the butternut squash as per the recommendations here. My instinct says SE will be good. Let's see. I will try and report back.
She is an 8 yr old calico. She is generally interactive and quite unstressed. BTW.

My first suggestion is to take your cat to the vet for a thorough exam, blood panel, etc., to rule out other causes. It may or may not be her diet. Please don't wait any longer.
