It's the kind of relationship that outside of hollywood, you'd never see. Probably not 1 in 500 or a 1,000 couples meet this way. But as long as its a famous director, it's "ok".
Plus he's been pretty much a Hollywood hack for years. Why does he have to excrete a new movie every year? He must be rich enough...do a movie once every 3-5 years and get it right. His 70's movies are classics but I've hardly been interested in seeing anything he's done for the last 25 years. The few I've seen were gawdawful. Geez....Soon-Yi isn't even good-looking.

Woody Allen's films appeal to a very narrow audience. His approach, no matter the subject, is always a one dimensional, unrealistic world seen through the eyes of a naive, narcissist.
And as for his wife Soon Yi; she actually looks like a pekingese. But IMO Woody and Soon Yi deserve each other. She was an ungrateful, self centered daughter with no loyalty or respect for her mother. He was a rich, old horndog who went shopping for a mistress in his girlfriend's nursery. Soon Yi's gamble paid off for her: rich husband, multi-million dollar homes in NYC and Italy, never worked a day in her life, travels the world and attends A-list events with her husband
Also, I find it interesting that she didn't have any biological children with Woody (they've adopted two children) However, considering how Soon-Yi and Woody got together she should really be cautious about Woody's interactions with those two girls.
