On June 25, Mel secured a restraining order prohibiting Oksana from making the tapes public. On July 1, details about the tapes began to leak, with the first of six tapes so far being made public July 9.
OG says, "Mel is a liar, there is no extortion." She also says her sister erased the tapes months? ago--RadarOnline states that they didn't pay for the tapes.
I'm still pondering the results of the HLN poll --67% supporting Gibson.
?? Those that responded had been in similar situations--females/ex wives with hostility towards the 'other woman' and/or males with painful experiences. How much of the story did those who responded know?

Americans have this unnatural obsession with other people's sex lives. In some countries it's not looked down upon to have a wife and mistress. However, being able to put people down for such gives one a smug sense of superiority over others because it's the best shot they can take at someone.
Not everything is black and white. BTW, get over their age difference - it's not that wide of a gap. I have, and am, dating a man much older and very successful. Why? Because men my age and younger are immature such as [some of] the ones on this board who lack of compassion and empathy and common sense and subscribe to the Jerry Springer mindset.

Something I don't know and am certain I don't need to know--is had the marriage of Mel Gibson and soon to be ex wife reached a conclusion along the lines of Al and Tipper Gore's marriage which I can only assume 'finished'--as some marriages do--like a close friendship--there is still concern/respect but for whatever reasons it is better to go separate ways. Of course I have no FYI to prove that the Gores' marriage fits this description--some do.
However the Gibsons related--7 children and there haven't been wildly publicized scandals surrounding the children--so ? more went right than wrong--even if Mel Gibson has 'issues'.
Maybe he did 'cheat on his wife'--maybe they had already made the decision to live separate lives. Absolutely none of my business.
Oksana called him a 'visionary'--in one of the tirades he ranted that she called him a 'sinner' and called her a 'moving violation'. ???An unhealthy relationship. Maybe Mel didn't have this sort of experience early in his life.
I've known a few people like that. Very productive, responsible and then made some uncharacteristic decisions.
Awful things were said and sometimes done.
Domestic violence.
OG's sister is now under investigation for possibly selling the tapes to RadarOnline and her bank account is thought to verify this.
Public opinion is shifting in Mel's favor.

I don't think OG will be found guilty of extortion. MG is under investigation for domestic violence, ? cruelty to children and other charges which have yet to be made public. He may have attorneys capable of resolving this for him but
he's keeping his mouth shut because of an ongoing criminal investigation.
Apparently Robin (Mels ex wife) had no issues with Mel (sorry I am a little late posting this
info about Robin).
This is what I am thinking about that, Either his ex Robin was paid a bunch of money to keep her mouth closed. Or she did not provoke this angry Mel that is with in and his mistress did.
Whatever the case, once again there is no excuss for Mel to flip off like that and have such horrible hate towards African American, Jews, Women, The Pope and who ever else that he has totally insulted.
His mistress is very right that he needs medication for his major anger issues that he is obvously suffering.
I also read that when filming the 'Passion Of Christ' Mel screemed at the cast and crew several times. That is not right, I don't think that anyone deserves to be treated in such a manner.
If his mistress was causing such distress he should have just walked away from her, if he was very pissed about it then he should have gone to get psychological help right away for his anger and hurt.
NO ONE deserves to be treated like crap the way Mel did to his mistress and the insults that he said about others.

And, FTR, if he were an "average joe", I'd still think he was an idiot and I'd still be pointing at the woman that he was bangin' and call her a liar.
