"Lights, camera, action!" is music to the ears of movie actors. Unfortunately, the same phrase also works well when those celebrities get asked to pose for mug shots.
Several years ago I read a magazine article (maybe Biography) with Randy, and he described how his wife, a successful real estate agent, was addicted to home remodeling. They'd buy a nice house, she'd fix it up, then they'd sell the house so she could buy another one and squander more money to fix it, and so on, so forth. These were high-end houses, so you know she spent WADS to "play house".
I remember wondering how they could avoid bankruptcy at that rate. It just sounded nuts and very irresponsible. So rather than feel shock at this news, I felt more like, "Yep ~ not surprised at all!"
He is finally living out his white trash Cousin Eddie character. Sad, sad.
Now he and his wife are seeking refugee status in Canada.

This bit of news doesn't surprise me about Randy. He looks like a guy who will amount to nothing. His wife looks like a woman who would marry such a guy. No surprise here with their current problems.
Well here's my empathic impression. I think he's kind of a lost man all on his own. And then he comes across this lady who is very off mentally (more so than he is), they team up and all hell breaks loose. I don't personally believe Randy Quaid would be caught up in all this without this woman. But, at the same time, I think he could've been easily influenced by any woman he let get close to him. That's just my impression. Sad. He's a talented man.
My take as well. I imagine once you get surrounded by crazy it is hard to find your way out and the whole thing snowballs.
