Is this forum running out of things to talk about. Aliyah gone and Beyonce is still her making her mark. What more is there to talk about?

I think if most celebrities were ugly they'd be nowhere. Many of the most popular and bankable celebrities have only marginal talent.

But let's be real...Ciara IS Aaliyah. They are the same person. Neither had strong vocals....both were slender and incredibly sexy.......both danced with the belly shirts and abs. Only difference? One is alive.
Aaliyah had a soft, TRAINED voice with range and SOME power.

Ciara has a soft voice with NO training, range, power, or nothing.

If you have a musical ear it's apparent that Aaliyah would sing Circles around Ciara by listening to these two performances of them doing the same song.

Just COMPARE.

Also, Beyonce is a great singer, but it is UNFAIR to compare aaliyah's voice @ 22 to Beyonce's voice @ 30. We dont know how much Aaliyah would have advanced

Aaliyah-Amazing dancer, PASSABLE vocalist, PASSABLE acting skills, weak performer

Beyonce-Weak dancer, weak actress, Amazing Performer, Amazing singer

I'm sorry, I'm still sad that Aaliyah is gone, but even at 22, Beyonce was still vocally better and had more control than Aaliyah. This is Beyonce at 17:

It's pretty clear that she has more natural vocal ability than Aaliyah, but that doesn't necessarily make her the better entertainer or artist. Aaliyah's strong points were her acting abilities, her character, her dancing skills, and her incredible music. Her final album still remains as one of the best R&B releases of this young century.

As far as Beyonce goes, we know she's not a strong actress, she's an excellent vocalist and good writer, but to say that she's a weak dancer? C'mon now. Some of her most popular videos and concert performances are evidence of that not being true. Her and Aaliyah's dancing styles are completely different. Aaliyah's choreography was traditionally more smooth and laid back. Beyonce's is more rigorous and rapid. Neither of them are a Ciara.

These women are two completely different entertainers, so I'm still bewildered as to why they are constantly compared.

This could easily compete with that clip you posted (aaliyah was 17 here as well)

While Beyonce and Aaliyah were different vocalists, Both of them were better at different things (i'm talking about when they were the same age of course). Beyonce's voice had more power and more acrobatics. Aaliyah's voice was simpler, but her head voice and her lower notes were vastly superior to Beyonce's. Also, Aaliyah's voice was a bit more flexible and versatile (she was able to have multiple singing styles and tones at a young age). Beyonce was better at pitch than Aaliyah was though.

Beyonce, as a dancer never impressed me. That's just me. Her dancing requires no technical skill or real ability. She just puts alot of energy into simple/poor choreography to make it look much better than what it is (an illusion if you will) No disrespect to Beyonce though
