Any Little Rascal fans out there?? TCM just did a marathon!! I taped most of it! My small kids...especially my 5 year old son, loves it!! Something about seeing adventuous little kids doing cool stuff....the gadgets...the club houses...the wise crackin'...
A good friend of mine recently sent me an email to links of a ton of old TV shows from the 1950's and 60's including Felix the Cat, Lost in Space, The Adventures of Superman, Father Knows Best and clips from American Bandstand of couples doing the Jitterbug, Hand Jive, etc. There was also this one clip of the Little Rascals. It's really poor quality film, but there's nothing like listening to Alfalfa singing "Let me Call You Sweetheart" to Darla. I also think that Hulu has a bunch of the episodes on their site. I'm sure your kids will enjoy the Little Rascals. As part of the email I received, there was Bud and Lou doing the infamous "Who's on First". It just doesn't get better!

I was hooked on The Little Rascals when I was a kid. I eventually lost interest and I hadn't seen an episode in years.
However, I went to IMDB and wikipedia not too long ago to look up some of my favorite actors..ie Alfalfa, Froggy, Buckwheat, Darla, etc. I was saddened to see that many of these actors died young and tragically, especially Froggy and Alfalfa.
Nonetheless, this was a one of a kind film series and I hope to share it with my kids one day.
I loved the little rascals as a kid in the 80's. It was on at 8 am. Then pee wee herman at 9. Muppet Babies. Wrestling at 12. Nice saturday morning and afternoon.
The Little Rascals is everything 2011 entertainment isn't. Original, creative, self reliant, indepedent, decent...childhood adventures, friendship, getting into trouble. Wasn't Stymie's dad in jail?
I liked the one where....spanky got his picture taken with his family. Remember that?
Spanky led the gang to a pirate treasure!
Then there was one with a sea captain. It's a shame kids don't have adventures like that anymore. And they built a firetruck. And played football. It's good way to teach kids history. I remember watching the show and being amazed at the history.
The early ones when they were real little... those episodes were so charming. I love those. I used to watch those and the stooges after school they ran reruns. And who doesn't love Petie the dog.
