Oprah Winfrey contemplated suicide when she became pregnant at the age of 14 and even tried to drink laundry detergent in attempt to terminate the pregnancy, she confessed Monday night.

"Getting pregnant was a result of bad choices, not having boundaries, sexual abuse from the time I was 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13," the talk show queen revealed during an interview on CNN’s "Piers Morgan Tonight."

I don't think that these revelations are news. She has talked about the abuse she suffered many times.

uh uh-she won't shut up about it. Always the victim. I'm not so sure she wasn't given boundaries as a child. Perhaps she just chose to not follow the rules?
Any any event--I don't care enough about her to ponder it.

It's news to me. I knew she was abused as a child. I did not know she was ever pregnant or contemplated suicide.

She is just trying to get people to pay attention to her and feel sorry for her. Yeah but when your net worth is about 2.7 billion, I don't think that sad stories are going to do anything. She should just disappear in to the background and be forgotten.

I don't think Oprah wants anyone to feel sorry for her. She said it was result of bad choices and she was promiscuous; that doesn't scream "Someone feel sorry for me!". But then I don't hate Oprah so I don't believe she has some secret evil agenda behind every word she says. I didn't see the whole interview but if just one person who was watching changed their mind about committing suicide then I think it's great. Never know what people might need to hear.

I'm not a follower but I think she is sincere and try's hard to do good. She certainly has come from behind a very bad childhood to be successful and I don't think is because she asked anyone to feel sorry for her. Where do you get off with the bitterness? Most people haven't been abused or poor and still can't do right.
She sure is a lot more generous and helpful that most rich people. I think she puts it out there so people understand and to show people in the exact same place that it can get better.
Get a grip.
