Billy Ray is learning the hard way that you reap what you sow.

It's so predictable, the kid makes it big doing something, then spends the rest of their life trying to show how mature they are...

When my daughter turned 18, she inherited $15,000. She partied, acted like an idiot, took all her friends to spend a month at Disney World in expensive suites....and there was nothing I could do legally to stop her. I was glad after she wasted every single dime, had to move back home and get a job.

The point is, a parents can't control a kid once they are 18. If that kid has lots of money....they are prone to do completely foolish things with it and with their life. When they have all the funds to buy an unlimited amount of drugs.....all you can do is hope they make it to the other side of things without ending up in jail or worse.

I think it would be more than a challenge for parents who have rich famous kids.

The only thing I would do differently if I were in their shoes is not to discuss my child or our relationship with the press. Parents should show more respect and loyalty than that.

Billy Ray lost his 15 minutes of fame way back. Hes hould remember that it was his daughter's career (and hot looks) that extended it to 30 minutes.

50% genes, 50% upbringing.

If a kid was raised properly, parents done their best, the rest is up to them to live and learn from their mistakes which they are bound to make.

His remarks about Satan being after his family and the sign on the highway about an Atheist group adopting a highway are strange in the extreme. He sounds like he has lost it too me.

Why did you set something like that up in the first place???? 18???

Kids can't pee straight at 18!! That was foolish! Sorry. But it was! You gave hard earned money to a child! A lawyer or better yet YOU should have doled out the cash.

Go ahead and give the the keys to the car to the 5 year-old while you're at it.

If you know 18 year olds are prone to do foolish things, why would you give the money to do even more foolish things with???

(takes two asprin)
