Just read Ben Affleck will star as the new Batman:

Ben Affleck Cast as Batman in 'Man of Steel' Sequel | Movies News | Rolling Stone
Quote:
News yesterday that Ben Affleck will play Batman in the upcoming Man of Steel prompted an outpouring of reactions online, from occasional congratulations to plenty of Good Will Hunting and Gigi jokes.
Affleck will star opposite Henry Cavill as Superman in the sequel, which Zack Synder will direct for a 2015 release. Cavill also played Superman in this summer's Man of Steel.

I'm just surprised they didn't offer Matt Damon the part of Robin/Nightwing,...with rubber nipples!

I think you should only be allowed to play one superhero in your career, he was already Daredevil

Don't you mean "killed" Daredevil? I think Ryan R. should have held off for The Flash. His character is perfect for the part, not Green Lantern.

My guess is Ben Affleck probably wanted the role.

Affleck appeared in a lot of Kevin Smith's movies (Dogma, Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks 2, Jersey Girl), and Kevin Smith is a huge fan of comic books.

Kevin Smith even has his own comic book store in NJ.

So it may be a comic book fan thing for Affleck as well?

Now I wonder if Kevin Smith will be offered a role in the new movie?
