EL PASO, Texas — A West Texas prosecutor says that singer Willie Nelson can resolve marijuana possession charges if he agrees to plead guilty, pay a fine and sing "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" for the court.

Sorry IMO this judge is over stepping her bounds not to mention tying up court when Willie could just mail in the fine????? All because she wants to meet him? Wrong, wrong, wrong.

'Don't Mess With Texas'--that is all I know. Willie--'On the Road Again'--he will never change. This sounds reasonable to me. But then I am a fan.
our Justice system at it's finest. Lordy,Lordy. I hope the judge is fined and removed from the bench for this. She could just buy a tkt like everyone else and see him in concert instead of using her long arm of the law to get a freebie; all the while attempting to humiliate Willie. Wish folks like that would just leave the dude alone.

I agree the judge should be suspended...or should have to pay the difference for a pot fine vs a personal appearance and song with the superstar.
Reminds me what I heard about McCartney. When he was locked up in Japan for his pot charge, jailers made him sing "Yesterday" over and over again. Heard where Lennon got a real kick out of this.
