I've met a few, the nicest was Danny Thomas. The rudest was Tom Cruise. Maybe because he's only 4 feet tall, but I've never met a more arrogant rude anyone in my life.
I met Tom Selleck while working at the Breakers in Palm Beach. Super nice guy. This was back in the 80's when Magnum PI was still on. Also met Julius Erving. He was kind of rude, but maybe he was having a bad day. Chuck Mangione was the best. Huge partier and invited all of us Breakers workers out for drinks and paid for all of it.
I knew a very old waitress who worked in Miami during the Jackie Gleason timeframe and she said he would leave her a hundred dollar bill everytime he came in. Always asked about her family and would actually listen when she talked about them.
Imagine what $100.00 was that long ago.
Also wanted to mention Michael Jordan, very nice man and Dennis Rodman was super sweet when he had dealings with waitstaff in Chicago.

I met him - he wasn't exactly rude, I'd say more like guarded.
He might be 5'7" which is not tall by any means. Typically, look up any actor on Wikipedia, if their height is listed, deduct an inch or two.
Every one of them adds an inch at least, guaranteed.

I loved how you made an excuse for him! That is what I always feel people should think if they meet someone and the person wasn't necessarily "nice", they should assume the person was having a bad day or not feeling well, etc.
