I've met Slim Thug, Paul Wall, and many Swishahouse rappers many times since they live in Houston, like me. Matter of fact, many of Houston's rap stars come from Acres Homes, like myself. Houston celebs are low key, they don't like to draw attention to themselves, so it'd be tough to spot a Houston celebrity. Whenever I've met them, they were real chill. Slim Thug is a giant in real life.
I knew you were from Houston before I read beyond those first few words.
I was at a friend's house one day. His cat was sitting on the stairs a few steps up. I was at the base of the stairs and petting him nicely. My face was level with the cat's. He smacked me in the face but didn't claw me.
When I worked for the phone company as an operator, I assisted on calls for Ed Sullivan, Dr Michael DeBakey, and John Glenn. All were very polite during the brief encounters. Then there was the one collect call from “Jesus Christ”, who was very impatient, which I’ve mentioned before.
I met Jim Kiick, Larry Csonka, and Garo Yepremian in person many years ago when the Dolphins were just starting out and they were there in a room at Burdines for a publicity event. Of course they were pleasant for that, but I think only Mr Yepremian was actually enjoying himself.
I met Arnold Palmer in Latrobe, PA. He was amiable.
My husband works in TV so whenever big names go through his studio, I try and stop by for a visit.
Here are the ones that I've met:
NICEST
1. Mark Wahlberg
2. Joe Pesci
3. Colin Firth
4. Ben Affleck
5. Gary Oldman
*These actors were so incredibly nice and easy to talk to.
RUDEST
1. Tom Hanks
2. Natalie Portman
3. Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt (I saw them back in Jan. of 2012 when they were still together).
4. Samuel L. Jackson
*I don't know what the deal is w/ these rude celebs but they had major attitudes. Really don't care to see any of their movies now.
My husband fixed Gillian Anderson's car that had broken down on her way through our town. It was not long after the original X-files series ended. She was not in a good mood (who would be in that situation), and was a bit grumpy with one of the workers who saw her name on her credit card and said something dumb like "hey, you're that actress". My husband approached her while she was waiting, and said he was a real fan of the X-files and her demeanor brightened instantly. They chatted for a few minutes and my husband said she was really nice. And short. And stunning, even in casual clothes with no makeup.
I feel like Gillian wanted to bang your hubby.. X-Files Style!!!
Now that's a first with Tom Hanks. I guess he's entitled to one bad day.
Yeah....that goes against everything I've ever heard or read about Hanks.....maybe he was having a real bad day? Also, he's a Type 2 diabetic so maybe that had something to do with it if he was having issues when the poster saw him.
Wow, ummm so I would feel the same way if I was sent to little Mexico, ooooops I mean California.....
If California was a country it would be the fifth richest most powerful country in the world , therefore i don't think that's equal to California being a Little Mexico.
