Ron Jeremy the porn actor....nice and weird. He was being interviewed at our radio station as part of a promotion of a new strip club that had opened up in our county. Off the wall sense of humor which made for a great interview BUT he did have a VERY bad body odor so bad actually that after he had left the building I had to go to the Family Dollar across the street to buy a can of Lysol.
3rd poster who said Katie Couric wasn't too pleasant. Interesting. Their on-camera persona's don't always match, do they?
Bryant Gimbel said pretty much the same thing about her but you had to read between the lines. In those days people assumed he was an arrogant jerk on the set and he was making some veiled references defending himself, that he wasn't the one who went through staff like toilet paper.
Bill Clinton, Jerry West, Pau Gasol, and DL Hughley were very friendly when I met them. Method Man and Redman were jerks, though.
I vote Republican but Clinton's Secret Service agents said he would go out of his way to be nice to hotel maids and kitchen staff even when there were no cameras around. Same with both Bushes. Sound like good guys.

It's amazing that people feel that celebrities are 'public property' and you can take photos of them without their permission, or just go up and fawn over them. From the outside, they may seem like 'gods', but try to imagine going to the gas station or grocery store and having people hound you for autographs. The idea that they 'owe' you an autograph or attention is ludicrous.
Its not so much what they "owe" you as much as its smart business. To get people to pay $11 to see you, a smart celebrity is going to work the crowds and try to be as appealing as possible.
Now maybe if you're Jennifer Aniston you might want to maintain some mystery, but for most celebrities they would be better served by learning how to work their crowds like Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra had to.
Speaking of celebs who do conventions, Linda Hamilton seems very sweet. I didn't talk to her myself as I'm not really a fan, but watched her outside hanging out with convention-goers and she acted like she was just one of the crowd. No ego evident.
She is bipolar and many of them are good at turning on the charm when they have to.
Wow, another negative for Julia Roberts. This is a trend from this thread for sure. She's got to have a great PR team that pushes the persona of her all American apple pie personality. Not.
Kanye West doesn't surprise me.
Maybe its the same deal as with Megan Ryan. Maybe she's just insecure or wound too tight and just comes off bad because she's ill at ease in public?

But the most perfect celebrity I've ever encountered is probably George Clooney. He's not only charming and funny and gracious, but listens to you so attentively that you start to feel he's absolutely fascinated by what you're saying.
His dad is a very personable guy. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about him.
