Linda Carter was also recently seen with those long wavy extensions on some talk show singing embarassingly (her figure was great!).

Wendy Williams, that dark blonde middle aged woman on that second rate dance competition and some other aging women need to loose the obvious extensions. Jane Seymour, Helen Hunt, Kira Sedgewick and other women of a certain age with real hair or just a bit of help look very good, but the waist length fake waves are fooling NO ONE!! It too late to be a Kardashian sister!!!
Waist length extensions don't look good on anyone-even the 25under crowd. They still look fake.

I also hate little children wearing makeup and being dressed and behaving as adult women.

I think it has to do with particular women trying to adopt a new style and no one ever tells her it's unbecoming.

Maybe I'll get used to it, but I don't think so.

I said nothing about having to wear long skirts, just short ones. What I think is happening here is that the population is aging and the fashion industry is a bit slow in catching up. I think 'they' are still marketing fashion choices for young women while the majority are aging. I think it is a travesty that there are not more choices offered for older women.
Wow, what a post! Miniskirts and long hair have nothing to do with each other. And what does children wearing make-up have to do with this? Do you just...hate everything other women do that you don't?

Seriously, all of this animosity just because some "old chicks" like to wear their hair long.

I am, obviously, talking about women who are not in the 'pretty' professions of show biz, which I did state previously.

Yes, the extension phenomenon just adds to the odd look.

Look at Jacqueline Smith, Cher, Suzanne Sommers, Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn, Raquel Welch et. al. All over 65 and they all have long hair. They look pretty good to me. (well, maybe not Cher, but the others......)

Hijack! When do we get to talk about men with long scraggly beards? God I want to snatch the hair right out of their face! Talk about disgusting. IMHO

Or maybe men with comb overs? Talk about elderly hair crimes!

The amish look is bad. A nice close beard trim is good though. Or a full beard that isn't long (if that makes sense)

Comb overs? Ugh!

Most likely kids growing up today will be very accustomed to seeing older women wearing their hair long, and when those kids get older they will probably think that older women with short hair are trying to look like kids with those short haircuts! lol I guess most older women today, when they were young and growing up saw older women of their mother's generation cut their hair short and wear it in a certain style, so now it looks odd to them to see older women breaking the "mold" and wearing their hair longer.

Sounds like you are having a hard time adjusting to change as you grow older.

Time to put on your "big boy" clothes guys.
So should I wear Khaki or Navy Dockers when I ride my motorcycle? And would the button down shirt and tie be optional?

Has Barney's developed a new pinstripe suit I can wear when I work in the yard or under the hood of my cars? Do I wear Oxfords, or just a standard buck leather dress shoe?

Sorry pal, but when I am the breadwinner, the Dad, the husband, the home maintenance crew, the fix-it guy, Santa, the lawn care specialist, etc., I'll wear something I am comfortable in. I don't care what the sniveling younger generation has to say about it.

And unlike the young-un's, at least I know to wear my jeans pulled up over my behind and use a belt.

Duh...
