Lindsay Lohan tweets: "Have you guys seen gas and food prices lately? U.S. $ will soon be worthless if Fed keeps printing money"

Lohan probably is no fan of the war on drugs, and her criticism of the Fed makes her sound a great deal like Ron Paul. Funny that the most scandalous young woman in America, who doesn't have much in the way of education and is known as a hedonist rather than a libertarian, has more of a clue about monetary policy than Obama, Geithner, or Bernanke

Judge Andrew Napolitano of the Fox Business Network has praised Lohan and pointed out that Dr. Paul's remarks have made many Americans, especially young people, more aware of the dangers of the Fed. There were some entertainment industry types who supported Ron Paul in 2008. Normally, an endorsement from Lohan wouldn't be desired by a politician, but in this era of tabloid media, more people will be exposed to Lohan's libertarian remarks than otherwise would be - perhaps she'll wind up endorsing Ron Paul for president?

Why do we call it the fed? Cant we think of a better name for it? It sounds like a 70's slang term for cops ("Run, dude! Its the fed!")

Seems like she grasps basic economics better than Geithner, Obama, or Bernanke.

She grasped the concept of "if you want something, just take it". Too bad for her she got caught!

She knows her money can't buy as much as it used to be able to buy.

And her condemnation of the Fed is going to reach people, particularly young people, who wouldn't normally think about the Federal Reserve and the damage it is causing.
