If you are referring to the "icons" of the past, such as Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Lana Turner, Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, Grace Kelly, etc., the answer is none.

I agree. Fame is so different in today's society, and can be obtained in much easier (and trashier) ways.

Celebrities aren't untouchable and mysterious anymore - people can access and learn almost anything about them. The media can show stars at their ugliest and most unglamorous moments. Without that "aura" of class, elegance and mystery, it's unlikely that a young star today can become an icon.
