The problem that I see with Dr. Drew is that with having these celebrities on it doesn't take long before we see who falls off the wagon. The truth is his tract record isn't very good. If I was looking for someone to treat a family member of mine he would be last person I would choose.
Dr. Drew is a disgrace to the recovery field and the medical profession....plain and simple.
I agree. He is scum. I see right through his little scam. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. He pretends to care-even that is pathetically portrayed. He doesn't. He cares about money, fame and attention. I can't stand his little smugness..He's as fake as they get. I agree with you spot on, he's a disgrace to the medical profeession..He can work out to look as if he takes care of his body (although we all know he does it for vanity reasons), you can give sound advice-that's generic in whole, and you can give a tilt of the head as if you really give a f k...But you can't hide fakeness and being genuine. And he is very fake and doesn't have a genuine bone in his body..
I only like him on Loveline. He has some good points.
I heard he no longer has Celebrity Rehab.
The man is on demand at the moment. Let him be. With anybody, there are people who would love him or hate him. If I were him, I'd be having many shows as well to make as much money as possible then retire when all this goes away.
Yeah he is everywhere, he needs to slow down. I don't really have a problem with him necessarily. I mean, unlike Kim Kardashian, at least he's well known for actually doing something and I don't necessarily think he has bad intentions on what he does on Celebrity Rehab, though it may not be the best way to go about helping those actors out. I think he does a good job with the Teen Mom kids from what I've seen. He doesn't really try to exploit them, mainly has them share their story to help prevent other teens from the same mistakes.
He is also on a radio show every night called Loveline. It gets pretty risque at times...
He's been on Loveline since 1983. He isn't the risque side, it's the DJ who is (and has been the show began...that's what keeps the ratings up). Pinsky actually provides a lot of medically correct answers to the callers, most of whom are probably teenagers. About the Show
I like Dr. Drew but he has too many shows. I sat down to watch a little day time TV and seen that he has a talk show on the CW network called"Dr. Drew Lifechangers". He also has his show on HLN, Teen Moms host on MTV and of course, Celebrity Rehab. This man is everywhere all the time. He also sits on some news panels to comment on storys like Michael Jackson's trial. I have seen him on CNN plenty of times. Does this man sleep or eat?
With the exception of the show, The Doctors, Dr Oz, hes the only psychiatrist... addiction, sex, relationship specialist on TV. He started in 1995 on MTV with Adam Carolla on Love Line.....
Loveline began in 1983 as a Sunday night segment on Los Angeles radio station KROQ, hosted by DJ Jim "Poorman" Trenton and DJ Swedish Egil (Egil Aalvik). About a year later, Trenton added a segment called Ask a Surgeon, hosted by his friend Dr. Drew Pinsky, who was not yet a doctor but a fourth-year medical student at the University of Southern California. The two segments soon merged into their own show, co-hosted by Trenton and Pinsky. In February 1992, the show went from airing solely on Sunday nights to five nights a week (Sunday through Thursday). Over the years, Trenton's relationship with the station grew rocky, and in August 1993 he was replaced by former MTV VJ Riki Rachtman. Dr. Drew and Rachtman were joined by Adam Carolla in October 1995, just as the show was first being syndicated nationally. The trio hosted together for several months, but Carolla and Rachtman often competed for airtime, leading Rachtman to resign in April 1996. From that point, Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew hosted the show until Carolla's departure.
I think he's become a celebrity wh0are who's infatuated with himself. With his kids off to college now, he's got way too much time on his hands. That being said, he's done a lot of good for teens here in SoCal with Loveline. To put it into perspective my 40-something boss remembers fervently listening to Dr. Drew waaay back in the mid-80's on KROQ and to his chagrin, now his teenage daughter does too. There aren't even high school teachers who can say they've nurtured 2 generations!
