Um ... how about giving the gifts back to the people who gave them to you?

The Kardashians are so etiquette-challenged it's crazy.

You don't presume to tell wedding guests what colors to wear (black or white). You don't DISinvite people because you ran out of space. And you don't donate the wedding gifts to charity and get a tax write off with money guests spent on your behalf! You give the gifts back to the givers!

it's actually quite normal these days to have themed weddings that include a dress code of sorts, particularly in L.A. Such trend setters! If they had a an ounce of class and morals they would have said in lew of gifts, donate to such and such charity. Oh wait....they are their own charity!

Rob Kardashian was interviewed recently and made it known that his mother started taking him to get manipedi's at age...drum roll please.....4!Can you imagine doing that to a four year old and come out normal especially in that household? Does he still sponge of his sisters living in their homes?

"Normal" behavior is often bad behavior. I would never look to Hollywood for examples of good etiquette.

It's still considered to be in poor taste to decree what your wedding guests wear, theme or not. You are putting your guests in the position of probably having to purchase a new outfit instead of wearing something they already own. And this is in addition to the fact that most of them will purchase expensive wedding gifts also.

And you might be surprised to learn that it's never okay to ask your guests to donate to a charity in lieu of gifts. Why? Because it's wrong to presume your guests owe you a gift in the first place! It's also in bad taste to suggest what a guest should do with their own money no matter how noble the cause.

There is a philosophy behind etiquette that thinks of the comfort of a guest over one's own vanity. Too many people just make up their own rules and since so few people bother to read an etiquette book, the bad behavior seems normal.

Even considering the usual excesses of Hollywood, the Kardashians always reach heights of vulgarity that are astonishing.

Which makes me wonder HOW they got a TV show to begin with??? I mean what were they famous for before the show? I know Bruce Jenner was an Olympian. That's it though.

Kim's wedding ring: http://blogs.phillymag.com/bridal_bu...rdashian-post/

She couldn't even put her fingers together with it on.

Jenner adds in the interview that she doesn't know who will keep the 20.5 carat ring, and that while she doesn't know its exact cost, it's worth less than the $2 million that's been reported.
As far as those lavish gifts that were requested by Kim and her now estranged husband, mom Kris says that she knows Kim plans on "making very generous contributions to a really deserving charity when she gets home [from Australia] and trying to make that right because she feels really bad about that."

Okay, the gifts should go back to the people who sent them.
The ring should go back to the guy. I can't even imagine why she would think she should keep something like that, if she is not staying married. That seems very crass and tacky to me.

But, of course, who ever said Kim Kardashian was the epitome of class?!

I think it will be interesting to see how she handles this "divorce", because, unfortunately, it will become the "standard" for how other quick marriages are handled, in regards to keeping the ring, returning gifts, handling questions...
