What's the deal with this age thing? There's people of all different ages on here. I'm sure some are older than you while others are younger than you.

Of the minority in this small super "majority" here who just happened to posting in this thread on CD. Not the minority in general.
My age point was, you were sounding very immature and childish. Similar to a few other posters who childishly attacked and assume that someone who says "who is The Who" just automatically is a Justin Bieber lover.
That's just stupid and very childish and really kind of ignorant. I'm mean really, most who are old enough to vote and really vote and drink do not like Justin Bieber. He has a small percentage of the population at large. Underage TEEN girls.
Not knowing or liking someone = Justin Bieber fan? Declaring statements like that and/or agreeing to them are just childish and a trip.

Calling Tom Petty, Springsteen and Prince not noteworthy is much more immature. Yet you decided to pick out that I mentioned the fact that that is the opinion of the minority? Ok. If the majority thought they weren't noteworthy, why are they still selling out shows? That would be like me saying that Madonna is not noteworthy. But you know what? She is because she has a significant following as well.
The fact that you're supporing that these artists are not noteworthy and calling me ignorant because I pointed out the masses disagree, makes you quite ignorant yourself.
All of these artists, including Madonna are noteworthy. That's why they are playing the superbowl. You're quite foolish to disagree.
For the record, I wasn't alive during The Who's career. But I still enjoy their music.

Um, no that's not immature. That's an opinion.
There's a difference.
Now considering someone foolish or childish for having an opinion contrary to your own is by definition...childish. Only a kid does that. Or a childish adult. Childish adult - a non-minor who behaves like a child. That's childish statements.
MIA was at the Super Bowl, I'm sure many don't consider her noteworthy. Do you? Since by your definition, she IS noteworthy since she performed at the Super Bowl.
Justin Bieber sells his shows out. Does that mean he's noteworthy? Since by your definition is does?
You're not making any sense here.

You're being quite hypocritical by calling me ignorant and childish for having an opinion and stating facts. You're doing the same thing.
Yes, Bieber is noteworthy and so is Madonna (as I said in my previous post). They're all noteworthy to the public. That is WHY they are able to play at the most televised event.
I have nothing against Madonna.

Although I don't like Madonna how she lives her life and the over the top behavior years ago....
I loved the show and most of her music....I thought it was amazing for a woman over 50!

I thought so. You're under 14 years old, part of the tweenybopper crowd.

I guess there's no point in having a debate with you. You seem very uninterested in music and only care for Madonna's stage performance.
No one who is a music fan can not deny that Springsteen, The Who, Petty, McCartney and Prince are noteworthy. Tell that to thier legions of fans who still go to thier concerts.
Maybe you should open your mind up and listen to different styles of rock and pop music and then you will understand why your statements come off as immature.
I'm sorry, but the world of music goes way beyond Madonna.

I've heard of Paul McCartney, but who is Paul McCarthy?
OK, if you want to talk about relevence, Madonna hasn't had a hit in ten years (unless you ask a DJ at a gay bar)
|
McCartney was like the second or third top selling concert tour of 2011-I think he is most definitely still relevent - he's wrote more hits than anyone else in modern music history.
