I agree.
The judgmental attitude toward her is disheartening.
And she just died for gods sake.
Her body is still in the hotel room as i write this.
She's one of millions of people in this country who have struggled with drug addiction.
Addiction is torturous.
And it's not a "waste of talent", it's a loss of a life.
No life is ever a "waste" no matter how premature the death.

Look at the 60's and 70's.

David Crosby, Keith Richards, etc made it through.

Drugs have a much harsher effect on women, always have, always will. Just like alcohol, the same amounts that a man takes, will kill and destroy many women.

Not enough muscle mass, and the fat deposits hold it and don't cleanse it from the body as quickly.

Nothing against women y'all, its just human biology.

I am shocked. I have been in a trance like state for thirty minutes. This is a huge loss for the music community and one of the top vocalists in fhe history of r&b if not music period. Quite a bombshell. Rest in peace Whitney Houston.

I just knew she wasn't on a good road getting involved with that low-class thug Brown. She had it all, then severely downgraded her life when she hooked up with that thug. Shame.

This is truely sad and an even sadder loss. Those of us from the Newark, NJ area, know the real story. Don't believe everything you read in the press.

Trust me, you aren't alone. I received it via text, and still can't wrap my mind around it. Truly a sad day for everyone.

All true, but there is ZERO evidence that he brought her down. And i knew that the knee jerk reactions of a lot of people would be to blame him somehow. I don't think it's fair. Anything she did, she did on her own volition. She's never said that he forced her to do anything. In fact, it might come out that she was using drugs long before she met him.

I am speechless too.
I grew up in the 80's with Whitney and Michael. Can't believe they are both gone.

You know what is crazy? If the news was "Bobby Brown found dead" in Beverly Hills I wouldn't have been shocked! but Whitney?

Exactly.... everyone has their demons, and her biggest one was the drugs. She couldn't beat her addiction and it's sad. She was a wonderful singer that fell into a black hole and couldn't get out of it. She's now dead and saying things like waste of talent or life, is in poor taste.
