I saw that. I was sadden. I didn't always agree with him. But still.

I was same way when Christopher Hitchens. I agreed with part of what he stood for and against part of what he stood for. I held both with high degree of respect.

He was a right winger who liked to splice film together making it look like people were doing/saying things that they really were not saying or doing. He hated black people. He hated poor people. He hated anyone who could actually think for themselves. He hated anyone who knew Ronald Reagan couldnt walk on water.

Me, neither. Like Kurt Cobain and Versace, I never heard of this guy except because of his death.

I googled him. Still not sure why he's a "celebrity".

Even if he was an "a-hole," I think you could be a bit more respectful to someone who has passed away.

He's not a celebrity. He's a political blogger. There's a 50 page thread in the Politics forum. Not sure why he's mentioned here.

That's not true at all. Conservatives don't hate black people, poor people, or any other "minority". That's a blatant mischaracterization that has been repeated so many times many people take it for the truth.

I can relate a lot to Andrew. We were both raised in idealogically liberal homes ( my folks preached that Reagan/republicans were evil/stupid) and we both began seriously questioning the "facts" behind those notions as young adults.

RIP Andrew.
