When I was a little girl, I thought Ginger Grant was beautiful. I used to love that show. I voted for Ginger.

Mary Ann, no contest.

That's exactly what I liked about her! Though to be honest, both are too "new school" for my taste. I'll take starlets from the 1920-40s. Well, I mean, not now, but in their prime (and not dead).

Maryann's appeal should not be hard to understand. Think of the Girl Next Door photo spreads, always popular through the ages. To some degree, I think many would call her look "casual, and innocent" versus tomboyish, and the hairstyle fit it well in that regard.

Given the era this show was filmed, the censors would have had more issues with her "attire" if it could not be explained away by weather/loss of wardrobe, etc. So I think the "innocent" nature of the character was a requirement towards this issue.

Mary Ann was sexier and hotter (IMO), but I wouldn't say mysterious. But who wants mysterious?

Not even a doubt as to who will be the winner, by a wide margin. Why even bother with a poll?

her looks wasn't so bad, but she wasn't sexy in dress, very vanilla style....she was considered to be a very naive, boring, bumpkin as compared to sex kitten, sultry ginger -- yea, so hot!

I never got the impression that she was considered boring. The whole point is, Ginger was supposed to be the sexy one, yet most guys like Mary Ann better. And not surprisingly, the results of the poll support this overwhelmingly. (Not to mention every male I've ever known who commented on the subject.)

Ginger did not look like a good time after the party was over. Mary Ann, looked like she could rock all night. Like Daddy says, "Looks come and go, but a woman who can cook is a find".
