LOS ANGELES -- Whitney Houston's body was ravaged by scars, cuts and burns when she died, autopsy details showed.
Years of drug and alcohol abuse had left the "Bodyguard" star with a damaged heart and liver, a hole in her nose and 11 front teeth missing.
She also had a needle mark on one arm and was high on a cocktail of nine drugs when she died in a hotel bath in Los Angeles on Feb. 11, 2012.
Evidence from police and medical teams showed swaths of skin was burned from Houston's back after she got into the scalding water. It also resulted in "skin slippage" on her legs.

Sources said the temperature could have been as high as 150F when she got into the tub.
How can water from the hot tap be at 150 degrees in a hotel? I thought 120 was about tops for what comes from the faucet. Can't imagine that a hotel would have the thermostat set this high for their hot water.
America is a sad country in that the death of a pop star that was a well known drug addict living on borrowed time for 20+ years qualifies for "politics and controversies" during one of the most trying times in our nations history.
At the peak of her career there was nobody who could even dream of coming close to her level of vocal talent. To this day nobody has ever done better justice to the national anthem of this country, Whitney was something special.
That being said, it's pathetic to see how drugs and alcohol can ruin even the brightest career around.
None other than Rush Limbaugh talked on his show about watching her funeral service and how moved he was. There was a somewhat similar story this week about a football player named Ryan Leaf.
I still think this is such a shame. Just goes to show, having everything, means nothing at all when one succumbs to the drug cutlure.
Such a waste of such good talent, and in her prime, she could not be touched. So sad her ending.
I just hope her daughter does not have the same fate as her Mother.
Leads me to wonder about the people so many envy.
You can have everything in life, most envy, but if your not a strong person, and strong from within, what a waste, see what drugs do, this should be a lesson for some.
