Default RIP Dick Clark

I apologize if a thread is started on this - I did not see one - but Dick Clark passed away today of a heart attack at age 82.

Thanks for the great Saturday afternoon memories, Mr. Clark, and American Bandstand.

I heard this in the car.

I, too, thought he would live forever. He will in a way.

RIP Dick Clark. Thank you for my wonderful life of memories from you and your American Bandstand and Rockin' New Years Eve.

Default R.I.P. Mr. Clark..

He was an entertainment and cultural icon. I saw him last New years on TV and despite his condition, Seeing him was great in how much of a fighter he was and the passion he had in life. He will be greatly missed.

Default Dick Clark was a great man

Dick Clark was the ultimate positive spirit. He was an icon associated with all that is good about music and brought joy to millions for decades. Here is a man who made the world a better place simply by his presence and the enjoyment he appeared to take in his work. We should all be so fortunate to find our life's calling, take such immense pleasure in it, and be eternally young for as long as possible. The world has been lessened a bit by this man's passing. Dick Clark was a great man.

May he rest in peace. Thank God, we have recordings of his work to carry us through.

I heard this on the radio on the way home from work. I was surprised and saddened by the news. R.I.P. Dick Clark.

R.I.P. Dick Clark. Even though I was too young for the early years of American banstand I used to watch the show in the late 70's early 80's. You will be missed.
