Exactly!

That was some 20 years ago. She made a mistake and paid for it when she had to give up pro skating, the only thing she knew how to do. I actually feel sorry for her. We all do dumb things while young but her mistake left a looooong-lasting and very public imprint. She's struggled ever since.

I wish her well.

It doesn't actually. I'm just efficient. I make quick assessments and move accordingly.

Having a city such as PDX put up a billboard saying "We support you Tonya" is analogous to LA putting up a billboard supporting OJ Simpson. Seriously. I was also chided for making a remark about the Tonya billboard from some "locals." She helped orchestrate a fairly serious crime.

Granted, she had to hang up doing the only thing she knew how to do, and didn't have Plan B. Her life has been run-ins with the law, the porn flick, the hubcap incident, trying her hand at wrestling, yada yada...I hope, for the kid's sake, she changes and gives the kid a good life, but I'm "glass is half empty" on this one.

If some nut job like Octomom can become a mom x8, then why can't she?

Anybody can become a mom, if they're plumbing is in working order. In fact, many that shouldn't do.

I came to love figure skating because of the whole Tonya/Nancy scandal. Nancy was one of my childhood idols, but I never really hated Tonya. I wish them both all the best.
