Donna Summer was One of Us - The Rush Limbaugh Show

I happened to be listening to Rush Limbaugh this morning when he talked about the passiing of singer Donna Summer, and the time that he met Donna and her husband on a flight. He said that they approached him after the flight took off and initiated a nice conversation. He said that Donna Summer was "beautiful" and "dressed to the nines." It turns out that she wound up as a Christian conservative--religious right, no less. In spite of her ground-breaking & controversial 'Love to Love You' hit she later became disenchanted with this approach to music, and was critical of rap.

Donna Summer definitely will be missed, both in pop music circles and in this world. She had a great career and her life turned out really good. Rush made a nice remembrance of the artist. Nicely done.

I loved her music as a teenager in the 70s. I was saddened that she allegedly made anti-gay remarks back in 1983 when she converted to christianity. I separate the talent from the person, I guess. RIP Donna summer.

I am quite sympathetic towards addicts. My brother battled heroin for years.
