Really sad news. One of my favorite groups from the 70's.

He did indeed have a heavenly voice. Their harmonies were spectacular, especially in their earlier music from the 60s (which news writers and other people always seem to forget about): Massachusetts, New York Mining Disaster 1941, To Love Somebody, etc.
