He outlived some of his Hogan's Heroes costars and one of his Family Feud replacements in addition to many of his Match Game celebrities.

Default Sad to hear...

I used to watch Richard on the show with my grandmother and have fond memories from this. Mr. Dawson was charismatic, funny and had a natural talent for TV and with people in general. Rest in peace Mr. Dawson.

This year continues to take talent from us.

Sorry to hear. He was an entertainer for sure!

I have to say though that I was surprised when I saw the headline on the net this morning. I thought he had already passed away a few years back. Oops!

RIP, Mr Dawson

He had retired and despite offers, no longer wanted to be part of public life.

Too bad he was such a heavy smoker for years, like many of his generation, even though he finally did give it up. I always loved him on Heroes. He was one of my favorites.

Loved him on Family Feud & The Match Game...and the Running Man! There aren't many men like him left these days. RIP.

When Bob Barker passes I'm going to be a total wreck.
