I'm sure that the tabloids will have all the sordid details, but the most important thing that everyone needs to know about this tragedy is that I really don't care.

It seems pretty sad, and it's even sadder that so many people are gleefully happy about this and have so many assumptions about things. I have heard many times what a genuinely nice person Tom Cruise is--okay, he got a little overexuberant on Oprah's couch, so what. Even that wouldn't have been a big deal, probably, if it hadn't been re-shown on television about 80 billion times.

He is a nice person? The things he said about Brooke Shields on national TV in regards to her post partum depression were brutal. Even if some people might share his viewpoint in private, most people would not be as cruel as he was to make them public on national tv.

Probably saving the child from Sci. is the catalyst. I remember when they first got together, Cruise was asked if someone could be Catholic and Sci., and he said, "Yes, but we're just scientologists." Certainly seemed unlikely that this young woman had an epiphany and believed in Scientology all of a sudden when meeting Cruise. She did mention having a crush on him when she was a teenager, so likely she was very vulnerable to "falling in love" with the real guy.
I think he should marry David Miscavige (the Scientology cult leader). He seems closer to him than any of his former wives or girlfriends. See, no bothersome height difference, either.
