Paris Hilton is vapid.
The only thing she has going for her is money. It's a great example of how someone with money can become a self-made celebrity.
And why would anyone choose that lifestyle? Is her ego so low that she really needs to have cameras follow her wherever she goes? She must be a totally empty person.

Ha, ha, ha! I watched the video. She handle that very well, actually. Poor Paris. She's no Helen Mirren, that's for sure!

I saw the interview too...I'm no fan of hers but it was a bit painful to watch. I just knew she was going to get up and walk off the stage if Letterman asked her one more question about her incarceration!

I never thought I'd come to Paris Hilton's defense, but this was just tedious, rude and unnecessary. Wow Dave, you sure picked a tough target. Congratulations for the interview equivalent of shooting the broad side of the barn from 10 feet away. A couple minutes of ribbing is fine, she should expect that. But it was a dicky thing to do to invite her onto the show and beat an already dead-horse topic into a bloody pulp at the expense of discussing any other topic whatsoever. I was actually more embarrassed for Letterman than for Hilton.

I am no fan but agree that she was far to easy a target for Dave. Shooting fish in a barrel. I think he was mean.
