I just read that (soon to be 95 years old) Phyllis Diller's father was born during the civil war in 1862.

What are some amazing facts about celebrities you know?

Prince Jackson has the same extremely rare genetic skin disorder (Vitiligo) as his father (1% occurance rate).

Actress Anne Heche was scouted by a casting agent while appearing in a high school play. The agent offered her a role on the daytime soap As The World Turns--they planned to create a role for her, buther mother talked her into passing on the opportunity so that she (Anne) could finish high school. ATWT hired another young actress and made her a star.

Though most would have kicked themselves for letting such a plum opportunity slip away, Anne continued high school, and was lucky enough to snag an audition that began her career playing twin sisters on Another World only a week or two after graduating, leading to an Emmy and a successful career in TV and film.

The ATWT role actually went to another unknown high schooler named Marisa Tomei.

Was reading a few months ago that julia louis-dreyfus, who played Elaine on Seinfeld, is a actually the daughter of a billionaire businessman born in France. I guess the income from Seinfeld was just chump change.
