Steven Tyler will NOT return to the judge's table on "American Idol" ... and has compared the show to a deranged bunny killer.

Tyler completed two full seasons on the show ... beginning in 2010.

Tyler has issued a statement saying, "After some long ... hard ... thoughts ... I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress ‘American Idol’ before she boils my rabbit.”

Not sure how this show is still going on!! It should run for 5 years then take a 5 year break and then come back. Yes, it made some big stars and some big nos.

I bet Paula Abdul would come back! Stephen Tyler is just too nice on there, he never seemed like a very good fit and it sort of ruined his image as a bad-boy rocker! J-Lo, she can go, too. I don't even know what qualified her to be on there in the first place.

He had very little original feedback for contestants. I think he was preoccupied with looking at himself on the monitors. He just seemed to parrot whatever Randy or jlo said. No loss for the show. Jlo on the other hand, gave helpful feedback to the contestants. Probably time to cancel the show...

I think he's a cool guy and good artist but his judging skills blow.

Getting to see J-Lo was the only reason I ever tuned in.

Steven is going to go back to doing what he does best: Making and performing music. Aerosmith is one of those all-american bands. Timeless. Keep playing Steve!

Idol is boring and just a ratings engine.
