I won't buy this stuff because I have no need for it, I don't even know where that store is, never heard of it but I don't fault him for trying to make money....what did people expect him to do once he got out of prison?

those people are not making millions from the adoration of clueless fans......

I sincerely hope his time in prison cost him big-time in money not made and shortened his career.

It wasn't the dogfighting alone- it's the torture and hands-on killing of animals, and I doubt he gives it a second thought.

Hope he ends up broke and miserable.

I think he should get the death penalty.
He didn't "do the time", at all!
The dogs "did the time"......eternally.....while this POS is playing football and making millions.
EXECUTE HIM.....that's justice.

How do you know that? Do you keep track of the financial makings of everyone released from prison?

"When man learns to respect even the smallest being of Creation, whether animal or vegetable, nobody has to teach him to love his fellow man. Compassion for animals is intimately connected with goodness of character; and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good man." ---Albert Schweitzer

There is a difference between defending someone and thinking that he should have to pay for the rest of his life.

By the way the AVERAGE person to get caught dog fighting wouldn't have made prime time news and most likely would have served a few days and then been put on probation....I know no one seriously believed he would be treated like AVERAGE folk

I can't believe that other people would be willing to work with him in his job and I can't believe that people would watch him on television or by any product he endorses.

Michael Vick is a monster. There simply isn't any penalty horrible enough to fit his crimes. I doubt that he only began torturing animals when he started his dog fighting business.

I sincerely hope that foulness and horror destroy his life and that he spend eternity in the worst hell imaginable. But that still won't be enough.

when dog fighting rings are busted it DOES make the news..... maybe not the national news, but most of these redneck losers are not national celebrities....

and i will say it again.... he did not serve one single minute of time for animal torture and cruelty.... his 17 months at Leavenworth were for tax evasion for not paying taxes on the $$$$$$ he made off of the blood and broken bodies..... ya wanna see some pictures of the things he did to these dogs??

so, NO, he has not done his time and he has NOT paid his debt to society.....

I watched Mike Vick on Piers Morgan last night.

When he was first sent to prison, I thought he deserved it and just another celebrity that had entitlement issues and needed a reality check. I was angry.

After he was released, I felt he learned his lesson and because of the public outcry and his time in prison, he is almost guaranteed not to do this again. He had a reflection staring in the mirror that he wasn't so happy knowing.

Now, after seeing him tell his story on CNN, I think that people should let this man redeem himself. He was 24 years old when it happened. He is in his 30's now. While it is no excuse, it does provide insight of his state of mind. It will also provide further insight in his book. I plan to read the book.

Harming animals is cruel. I love animals. But society gives drunk drivers more chances and redemption. The guy learned his lesson. He is doing service announcement for the Humane Society. He plans to show his kids compassion for dogs. Things happen for a reason and it took this for him to make other animals life's better.

I understand that things like this should never be tolerated but he did his time. What else can he do? Maybe go on with his life, be a better person, help others and be productive like he is continuing to do now? Sometimes when people do things we don't agree with we have to step outside ourselves and look at the mental, emotional and physical state of that person so we can help others. This may have been a call for help for Mike and he received it while helping animals.

Dog fighting is still going on, this is a chance for someone else that is participating in it to see his story and stop. He did a brave thing for going on Piers last night. He deserves to be able to live a productive life.
