Speculating on whether he was gay because he had no wife or kids on the day he died? It's wrong

I wish all celebs who are Gay would come out, esp. the ones we admire, because then we are not so anonymous or threatening.
Yes, Sherman was gay, it was not a rumor. He lived in El Paso near some friends of mine, who knew him.

Hate to tell you but I know a highly regarded Hollywood film critic and it's been known for decades that Mr. Hemsley was gay. It's not news and it's irrelevant to his long career but don't accuse people of "disseminating inaccurate information" simply because it's information which stirs your homophobia.

I loved Sherman. What a great man and actor. I will never forget the work he did on TV and anytime I saw him on TV, it was a treat. I will never forget him in the "Jeffersons." He was bold, brash, direct, and blunt. I like that. May he rest in peace. He certainly made a positive impact on my life and I'll never forget him.

Here is a clip of my favorite episode, when he caught "disco fever."
