There are just some celebs the media pushes way to much on people.
Agreed. She looks goofy to me no matter how much makeup and stylish clothes you put on her.

I remember feeling the same way about Julia Ormond back in the 90's, although my husband thought she was hot. Anne Hathaway is in the same category as Julia was ~ pretty, but in an everyday-pretty kind of way.

As for Loni before her transformation, I once happened to catch her in a cameo part in some old 70's movie one time. I managed to recognize her because I have good eyes, but she looked totally different. Her hair was very long and a light brown. I much prefered the look to her famed one, although I still did not find her pretty. I simply do not like that type of face. I do think she looked better in her 40's and 50's than she did on 'WKRP'.

I just remembered that I did see Loni once in SF when she was in the Columbus Day Parade. Smaller frame than one would expect, Dolly Partin'ish hair, well-groomed, but in person she was merely okay.

I've heard her discribed as beautiful many times by the media through the years. They have no taste!

Ok I think some of you have been hitting the crack pipe a little too hard. This is not what I'd call a plain person

The girl who had the affair w/ the director. But honestly, none of those ppl are glamorous. PPl w/ at most HS education who happen to get a lot of money and end up in many cases w/ drug/personal problems and making fools of themselves in public. But I have to admit, most of them are way more attractive than the average person.

Speak for yourself and Whitney was not from the hood. She grew up in a middle class home and neighborhood.

Anne Hatheway is plain and I will never understand why she was picked for Catwoman. She was wrong for that role.

I think the point was that whether Whitney came from a ghetto background or a middle class background, she voluntarily deteriorated into a "ghetto lifestyle." Plenty of people work their way out of poverty and don't decide to hook up with an abusive drug addict, start doing drugs, and then throw away their talent and fame on drug use.

Wow! Thanks for that on Hathaway! I didn't know who Anne Hathaway was (I'm out of the pop culture loop I guess) and I though the other poster who mentioned her was talking about the dorky secretary on the Beverly Hillbillies, and they were trying to be sarcastic or something! That was "Miss Hathaway" and I don't remember if her first name was Anne.

She was into drugs prior to Bobby. Actually, some have come forth and stated she turned Bobby onto cocaine.

Now I see, she is Polly. Not prrticualrly pretty but see still managed to seem attractive in that movie.
