I sincerely wish him the best, and he looks good in that picture! He always seemed to have such a happy spirit, this really was surprising.

Its good. He has a lot of potential and personally, Ive always admired him, I've always been a sucker for long blonde hair .....oops, back to the topic....
I hope his recovery stays well and that he stays too busy with his career to fall back into that 'pit'.

I hope Owen Wilson is able to deal adequately with whatever caused him to attempt suicide, instead of fleeing into something as fleeting as a career. A career, not matter how successful, will not solve being unhappy.

We watched a movie with him in it last night (The Haunting) and it was wierd to see him, as usual, being the funny, humourous yet still a bit of seriousness type-of-guy in his role.

I could care less about most actors/actresses, but Owen Wilson is one of the few who I want to see have a healthy career, and more importantly a healthy life.

Many people suffer from depression, and most people don't even recognize it. It would be a shame to see Wilson go like that, he has a lot more movies he should make.

I find it ironic and sad that people like Owen Wilson and Jim Carrey who make thousands of people laugh can suffer from severe depression.

Maybe this is the reason why Jim Carrey is depressed?
I believe that Jim was depressed because he realised that he already has realised his biggest dream. He wrote himself a cheque worth $20 million as physical evidence for his drive. Now that he can actually cash in such a check he has to search for a new drive.
Quote:
At one point he and his family all worked as janitors at a factory to make a living.

Wrote himself a check for $20 million and kept it in his wallet until he earned that amount for The Cable Guy (1996).
Jim Carrey - Biography
How can you justify these 2 facts?
How come his parents had to suffer poverty and he now makes more money that his father probably ever did in his whole lifetime?
