It seems like someone is a big Romney supporter. Many people have stated time and time again that they want a president that can relate to them and are for the work class people. Ask some of the famous people and millionaires why they voted for Obama. They don't need a handout! I'm sure it's not because they want a handout. Some Romney supporters have to find any way to spin the lost into blame.
They did not feel Romney was that guy and they are right. No matter how you try to spin it, Romney doesn't make the grade, even in good ol' Ohio.
No! I'm a common sense supporter!! If I am hiring someone to fix something, I select the person who has already FIXED broken things!
Obama had no such experience and he's screwed up even more, the mess we had!!!
How has having that "relatable Prez" worked out for us so far????
As far as some celebs and other millionaires voting for Obama is concerned? I learned a loooong time ago that liberal ideaology over powers common sense.
And he still has no plan......"we need jobs"....."we need green jobs"...."we need to help the middle class".......
A lot of "whats" but not one "how". But he sure sounds good saying it.
I can't believe this thread is still going on but I agree.
.
I gotta admit I kept it going because I find him entertaining. I've never heard of being black giving you the right to call other black people "you people" lol gold star for creativity.
All that bold typing and italics kinda reminds me of my teenage niece when she's desperately trying to convince me that Nicki Minaj is the best female rapper ever...all that extra emphasis to hide the fact that what's being said makes no sense.
Oh pleeez.......twice ....TWICE...she said she couldn't believe she was a republican. GASP!
Then she slyly back-handed her "she doesnt have anything going on"..."unemployed"!
And then she basically called her classless for the photo she took. Why did she even have to say that?? Becuz she as trying to sting her for being what she calld her twice! A REPUBLICAN!
What did her job status and photo have to do with the question the guy asked her??? Nothing!
Do you really think even of those things would have been said if Stacey was supporting Obama???
It went both ways. There were black and white people that made positive and negative comments. What happen is many people questioning her is the media frenzy she so happen to go out on. Most people have forgotten about her. This drew attention to her mostly nonexistent acting career.
Correct! She was non-existent until she allowed herself to be pimped by the republican party!
Look.....there's negative publicity and then there's WHAT STACEY DID!!! Big difference!
You can make a sex tape and let it get out.
You can beat your girl to a pulp.
You can get caught in an affair.
You can wreck someone's home!
You can get caught in a public toliet having gay sex.
You can get arrested 10 times on DUI!!
But you cannot....I repeat CANNOT BE BLACK AND SAY YOU ARE REPUBLICAN AND EXPECT TO ACT OR GET A RECORD CONTRACT, AFTER THAT.
WROOOOOONNNNGGGG LL Cool J is a noted republican and he is still working. The point is that she was a nobody (and still is) until she boldly declared her love for mitt
People, especially celebs, get attacked for their choices all the time. If using this incident was your platform for that then you picked a bad one. Celebs, especially black celebs, are attacked for the smallest thing, from who they vote for to how they wear their hair to certain events. This is part of life.
I still don't feel that Fox was being as nasty as you make her out to be in your posts. She said she didn't know she was a Republican(twice) and that she didn't understand why she had to show her support in that way (red swimsuit with the flag)
I stated before that she may have been making those comments based on her personal relationship with Stacey. I know they did a movie together awhile back but I don't know how close they were. Maybe she thought that the picture was out of character for Stacey.
My personal belief is that it was a publicity stunt. She may very well be a Republican and have voted for Romney but I can't think of any reason she had to get in a swimsuit in front of the flag to show her support...except that she wanted to show people that she still looks good in a swimsuit. Again, those are just my thoughts when I see her picture. If she wanted to share her endorsement online she certainly could have done that without a photo shoot. The flag and the swimsuit and the Dash America was just so "extra". I almost feel a little sad for her because it's borderline desperation. As far as job opportunities, Stacey Dash hasn't been a relevant actress in "black media" in forever. She had her little brief comeback on The Game and Single Ladies, but the truth is she's just not that good of an actress. Getting her name and face circulating the media definitely isn't going to hurt her career in any way, as I doubt those who are feigning shock and anger at her choice would have hired her anyway.
Nope. The biggest thing she ever did was Kill Bill and she died before the movie even started.
Please say "you don't know" or that you "not familiar with her works", but she has been working for quite a long time and has been in nominated and won some acting awards. This is more than I can say for Ms dash
I guess that you never seen Independence Day or Batman and Robin or the countless other movies and televisions shows that she has appeared in
I actually think she would have gotten much less feedback if her orginal endorsement looked like this one. Although some nonblack celebs have taken a few jabs for supporting Obama.
The difference is that with black people it gets SO much more attention. Why? Because the media knows there are black people like you who will pick up the story and run with it. "Uncle Tom" and "slaves to the Democratic party" blah blah blah. Nobody hates black people more than other black people. Do you really believe that media REALLY cares about Stacey Dash? Of course not but they're counting on black people to keep following the story, keep reading the websites, keep the story going. Do you see them asking Julia Roberts about how she feels about ANY other celebs? Of course not, that's why they chose Fox. She's just as low on the Hollywood totem pole as Dash.
But keep on breathing life into this HUGE attack on Dash. I'm sure she's all stressed out about her name being everywhere.
How does that saying go, "bad publicity is better than no publicity" I guess that means that someone is thinking about you, even if you are making an azz out yourself. I do agree that if she just endorsed him without flag and whatnot it would not had been a big deal. Did you see any white female celebrities doing that with Obama?
Look people...this is probably the smartest thing that Stacey Dash has done in years. She recently went through her third divorce and she had been fired from her last paying job on the show Single Girls for being difficult (never seen that show you say? no worries not many people have) And she is now on the radar of Faux News and will probably land a nice, wealthy Republican husband out of this brouhaha...more power to her. But really....why do we care?[/quote]
Because this does not boil down to just Stacey Dash!! This is about a cult mentality that many blacks have about political freedom! Blacks who change their minds about the Dems are roasted for that! People want them destroyed.....ruined! They get shunned by people they were cool with!! All because they see things differently!!
This is about principle! Not Stacey! This about the hypocrisy of those who claim to be open-minded!
Dash just happens to be a known face in the middle of something that has always happened to black conservatives! When you try to leave a cult, what happens? You get shunned.....you rep gets slandered.........you might even get attacked physically.
So why are black people doing the same thing to Stacey or any black who picks a GOP candidate?
Why some nide remark?? some insult?? Why can't we have the same freedom that white folks get to enjoy? They can go from GOP to Dem to Indpndnt.........and nobody would say a word.
Ok, I'm about done hearing you whine about this subject. One question, Where the @#$#%! where you during the primaries when the leading republicans talked about blacks like they had a third tail? The reason that your beloved republicans lost is because they extended their disdain to latinos, women, the elderly, gays and the american youth. they tried to win on just the scared, angry white male vote and lost! You are the one that needs to check yourself regarding all of the "plantation talk". Who in their right mind wants to vote for someone that openly disrepects you? Apparently since it does not bother you why are so worried about what someone else does?
Please say "you don't know" or that you "not familiar with her works", but she has been working for quite a long time and has been in nominated and won some acting awards. This is more than I can say for Ms dash

Of course I've seen them but its not like Vivica was a big draw in either of them.
I've also seen Soul Food.
Two (and the horrid sequel) Can Play That Game
Set It Off
Kingdom Come
Ella Enchanted
Booty Call
Juwanna Man
When she was Jazz's sister on Fresh Prince.
When she was Michael's sister on My Wife & Kids.
When she was Heavy D's girlfriend on Living Single.
And just about everything else she's done that reruns on BET constantly.
I still think Kill Bill was her biggest movie. So keep your for yourself.
As far as her nominations annd acting awards; they're mostly NAACP and BET awards or MTV best kiss awards...its not like she's winning Oscars. I don't think she's a bad actress but most of her movies have been "black movies". I personally hate the idea of "black movies" because I believe that movies starring black actors can have genres just like any other movie but that's a topic for another thread.

I don't even know why this is even a hot topic. People have been criticized and threaten over their support for Obama as well. Ever since Obama got elected into the house; everything is about RACE.
People see right through Stacey and her attention seeking ploy. Just watch her interviews on the issue; that girl doesn't know a thing about politics.

You missed her biggest movie, Independence Day.
