How sad. I always liked him. Odd couple was a great show.

Unhappy In Memoriam: Jack Klugman (1922 - 2012)

Jack Klugman had an uncanny ability to breathe life into every character he played, and he always did it with realism. He wasn't ever cast as the big-time hero. Instead, he was the everyday fellow, but did it as well as anyone could. As Dr Quincy and Oscar Madison (not to mention a host of guest appearances on various shows), Jack brought a lot of intensity and gruffness, mixed in with a down-to-earth presence. He made a lot of great TV moments and will be sorely missed from the medium in every way.

Thanks, Jack, for sharing your unique talents with this world.

Default RIP Quincy M.E.

Surprised this hadnt been posted yet.

Jack Klugman died last night at age 90.

Jack Klugman, who has died at 90, was a TV-star anomaly — not conventionally handsome, with the jagged voice and hangdog demeanor of a character actor, and a performer who was as comfortable being part of an ensemble as he was a lead actor. His two signature roles — sloppy sportswriter Oscar Madison on The Odd Couple and shrewd medical examiner in
Quincy, M.E. — were as different as could be, yet Klugman was expansively comfortable as both of those men.

A Jack Klugman appreciation: An unusual star, with Oscar and Quincy displaying his range | Ken Tucker's TV | EW.com

I was a little too young for The Odd Couple, but I totally was obsessed with Quincy (in syndication).

He was a wonderful character actor and I grew up watching him. He was incredibly funny and had quite a voice. He will be missed.
