I completely agree - a dirt bag, willing to stoop to the lowest degree of what is unacceptable by decent people in order to make a buck...he possesses the lowest common denominator as far as fidelity, gentility and respect for humanity is concerned and convinces weak minded people that baseness is to be admired and aspired to....people like him don't uplift or improve a society, they degrade and lower it.

I never thought much about his juvenile locker room humor. You would expect this kind of humor from a teenage boy with raging hormones, but not from a 50 year old man. You can only talk about parts of the female anatomy for so long before it gets old.
You're implying that 50 year old men don't find much younger women with nice bodies attractive? I beg to differ. It's just that most of them don't talk about it or only do with close buddies. The reason that Howard is so popular is because he talks about things that resonate with so many people. He also discusses his own day to day life and many can identify with aspects of it (his fascination with internet chess, his affection for his pet dog, his secret crushes on friend's wives (Rebecca Stamos when she was married to John Stamos), his relationship with his 80+ year old parents, coping with his friend's drug addiction, dealing with incompetent people in the workplace, his insecurities, his jealousy issues, his fear of gaining his weight back, etc. Aside from talking about sex, he talks about a myriad of topics that anyone can relate to. He often says things that some of us wish they could say. He often shares insights that are provactive and make us thing about think more objectively. All I know is that he makes me think and laugh often and adds much joy to some mundane time in the car during the workday. He has interesting guests on and is one of the best interviewers around because he doesn't just ask "safe" questions. Who else could get Martha Stewart to admit that she regularly uses a vibrator and then even state what type she uses? It's not that most of us really care, but it's sure funny hearing her openly talk about it. What's interesting is when celebrities do their talk show circuits. For instance, Kid Rock was on Larry King recently. Within a couple of days, he was on Howard Stern. The Howard Stern interview was so much more telling. If Howard went into something else instead of radio, he should have been a journalist. He gets people to really open up, partially because he shares so much about himself. Also because he's an aggressive interviewer.
Stern put on a good show. I no longer have cable or Sirius so I can't see his program now. I didn't watch him too often but every once in a while he had a good guest on.
