"For some reason"? My presence here doesn't meet your approval?

I'd rather post comments about celebrities I NEVER see here on C-D on my own time than approach them in person. This must be difficult for you to understand.

Hope you get better.

Two I would most certainly approach because I so admire their work so much ,are Michael Cain and Robert Duvall (who on earth could pass up an opportunity like that . Most others I would simply let them be unless they have have done great work for charities that I really care about .I honestly feel one can never say thank you enough for things like that .

Normally, no.

But if I met Dwayne Johnson all bets are off.

Depends on who it is, I might approach if it were say Sam Elliott or Ed Harris just to get an autograph. I'm not much on conversation anyway so that would probably be the extent of it other than telling them how much I adore them.

Only if it was Raquel Welch......... "Raquel....... I've loved ya since I was a little kid......."

In my youth, I was braver. In the 70s I approached Ingrid Bergman and James Stewart without invitation. Luckily for me, both great at chatting to a star struck kid. Bette Midler also in 1978. I wouldn't have the nerve now, except may be to just say hi. Then again, I can't think of a modern celebrity I have the slightest interest in.

I would never approach a celebrity in public. I would try to have a good look at them if I could do I without being noticed. It is sort of fascinating to see someone you have only seen on a screen, in 3 dimensions.

I don't know, I guess it depends on who it was. Someone like Eddie Vedder or Dave Grohl, I may or may not approach them if I saw them at say a bar. To be honest, I'd be freakin' out a bit on the inside but no way would I let that show. I'd maybe offer them a shot. Someone like Anthony Bourdain I would definitely approach. I like him but don't have that sense of awe that I do over Eddie or Dave, lol. He'd be fun to hand out with....so would the other two but it's just different I guess.

Twice, I was walking in a city and passed two famous male actors and we looked at each other and smiled. I did turn
back to sneak another look and so did they but no, I wouldn't approach them (their right to privacy). I did however,
go to a lecture by a famous photographer (I admire her work) and did approach her before the lecture. I told her
how much I loved her work and if she would sign the 2 books she had (at that time). She did and was surprised that
I had her first book.
