Judge Judy may be one of television's biggest courthouse queens, but her own judgment is being thrown into question.

Judge Judith Sheindlin is being slapped with a return of property lawsuit from her producer's ex, Patric Jones, who claims the honorable one purchased expensive china from said producer, Randall Douthit, for a fraction of its value.

Well, one might be excused for thinking that she knew the reason he was selling it for 1/10th of its value was to keep it away from his spouse. I would think she would have more common sense (that's giving her the benefit of the doubt and assuming she was not deliberately acting in an unethical way).

I'm not clear on this - do ALL married couples have to agree to the sale of expensive property? Does this apply only to community property states, like California? Does it ONLY apply when there are divorce proceeding filed?

I adore Judy and think her show does a public service in that it warns the rest of us of various schemes and people working to take advantage of us. It also shows how readily and convincingly people lie. I can see how a person with a profession having to do with the law can get a very jaundiced view of humanity, in general. hefplepeeriin
