My fondest memory of Robert Goulet was when he appeared on the Simpsons and sang "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin Laid an Egg!"

I thought he was really funny as the butler in the TV show "Soap". Didnt care too much about the spinoff show they did for him "Benson".

Oh wait........different guy. Nevermind.

Robert Goulet during the 1960s was synonomous with class and being one of the consummate crooners of the times. His current image has been the victim of changing tastes in commercially accepted music. He was suave, handsome and romantic as he sang lyrics that resonnated with clarity for a public that put a premium on tasteful phrasing. He was a craved fixture on television specials and variety shows. He will be fondly remembered by a segment of society that knew him as a gentleman and artist's artist. GOD Bless you, Robert Goulet. You made many appreciate and aspire to respecting lyricism of the highest order during a golden era of televison. Rest in peace. Sincerely, Shadeed R. Ahmad (5-12-10)

Robert Goulet had a fantastic voice. I lament that his voice style is no longer as popular as it was back in his era.

The absolute, all time funniest TV "blooper" I ever saw was about 3 decades back and Robert Goulet was on a talk show telling about something that happened to him LIVE on a TV show he had been on previously. A clip from that show was also shown. I forget all the details of what was going on but Robert Goulet was on with a trained bear (a GROWN bear). Robert Goulet ended up flat on his back on the floor and this bear, a male, got on top of him and started humping him.

RIP Robert. You brought a lot of joy into people's lives with your songs.
