I don't usually get caught up in these kinds of stories, but for some reason, I find this one very compelling:

Quote:
It shouldn't come as a shock that Brooke Mueller likely has relapsed on drugs, but what may surprise you is the fact that the twins she shares with Charlie Sheen are living with Sheen's other ex, Denise Richards. L.A. County DCFS deemed Mueller's home an "unsafe envrionment" and removed the 4-year-old boys Thursday night, according to TMZ. A hearing is set for next week to find a permanent solution for the boys' residence, but until then, they're spending time with their half-sisters, Lola and Sam, Richards' daughters with Sheen, and her adopted baby daughter, Eloise.

It sounds like all concerned (except for Mueller's mother) think the twins are in the best place possible and I think it really says something about Richards' character. Even Mueller wants her to have the boys, which also says something - the fact that there is obviously no animosity between the two ex-wives, and in fact, it sounds like Richards has embraced Mueller and tried to do what she could to help her and the twins.

And how nice for the boys that they are with their sisters and in what appears to be a loving, stable environment.

I hope Richards gets to keep them on a more permanent level.

Edit: I'm not sure how it got in there, but could a mod please take the word "another" out of the title of this thread for me? lol

Wow, that's unexpected, but hey, the boys are with their siblings, in a good environment, and I think it's all that matters. It's sad though that those two little boys have the parents they have.

That's probably why I find this story particularly interesting - the sad life that these two little boys have likely had and that it's someone who isn't technically even related to them (except through her own daughters) who is stepping up and giving them the love and stability and family they deserve.

I think I have probably only seen Denise Richards in two or three things total, and really only know of her life through stories I occasionally stumble across on the internet (like this one), but she certainly has earned my respect.

not the first time Denise has stepped up to the plate for the twins.
She is a really decent human being. Compassionate and caring.

Yeah....I seem to remember when Charlie had his meltdown ("Winning!") and was fired from the show that she took the boys for a little while then, too.

She really is a gem and a great mother. The environment the twins were in were not safe and now they are with family in a good environment. Brooke needs a lot of help, Not just to get clean but stay that way. Charlie at least on the surface seems to have cleaned up but has long had a penchant for partying even if not continuously. Not an environment for kids either.

I think she's setting a wonderful example for her own daughters, as well; hopefully, her kindness to their brothers is something they will never forget.
