Me too! He does some great characters. I liked him in "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead."

I love the Hunger Games trilogy. He didn't have a chance to develop his character in Catching Fire and I'm wondering what they are going to do in order to replace him. (unless they filmed all installations of the trilogy at once)

He might have been a good actor but if he was a heroin addict he was a bad person.

Never thought he would be the type to overdose on drugs...but I realize that's naive and you can never really tell.

Just looked through his filmography. I'd almost forgotten he was Lester Bangs in Almost Famous - "You are not cool, man." One of his last roles was "A Late Quartet," which was great, though Christopher Walken had the best performance there.

He was in Next Stop Wonderland? One of the only movie to take place in Boston that doesn't involve gangsters? Didn't remember that.

Philip Seymour Hoffman - IMDb

unless you've struggled with addiction, I don't believe anybody has the right to judge....

much less say he was a "bad" person...

I was heartbroken when I heard the news.

He was one of my favorite actors. He was so young, and with so much promise.

Oh please. People make mistakes. I'm sure he wasn't thrilled to have that monkey on his back.

I hope you never make a mistake in your life.

Horrible news....was exceptional at his craft. His poor young family.... Thoughts are with them.

What an utterly ridiculous and naive comment.

One of my favorite actors, too. Another talent gone too soon. Heroin--such an evil substance.

Sad. He was one of the better actors out there, in my opinion.

On the contrary, it's people who think like this one in the above quote that are bad people.
