I've always admired First Lady Michelle Obama. She's a beautiful black woman, who is also supremely intelligent and educated, poised, full of depth, character, class, and integrity. She has overcome more adversity than all the Presidents combined, and I find her to be the gold standard by which all women should be measured by. She looks incredible here, best I've seen her, and I prefer her hair in this style.

Really?

I was going to comment about how good I, too, thought she looked until I read that.

Yes. I still have nightmares of Barbara Bush and her "beautiful mind" dancing in my addled head. Michelle is the most beautiful and refreshing FL we've had since Jackie.

Why state she's a black woman? I've never heard anyone say, "____ is a beautiful white woman who is also supremely intelligent and educated..." She's a WOMAN, like all the others on the planet.

Black people continue to self-segregate themselves this way, though they say they want to be treated equally. There are "historically black" colleges, BET, the NAACP, the AME, AMEZ, "Ebony" magazine, etc., etc., ad infinitum.

But the adversity part really stumps me. What????
